Lindsey Wikstrom is the co-founding principal of Mattaforma and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Mattaforma is an architecture practice that draws on material research to conceive of architecture as an actionable medium towards a more equitable planet. Current projects include planning for a farm-to-table micro-city, multi-family housing, and private residences. Prior to Mattaforma, she held design leadership roles for the following projects: Airbus Engine Factory with The Living; One Delilse, US Embassy Brasilia, and the Mayor's Action Plan with Studio Gang; as well as Art Deco Project, Modern Primitives, and Design Miami with Aranda\Lasch. She holds an M.Arch from Columbia University, where she was awarded the Charles McKim Prize, Visualization Award, and Avery 6 Award. Lindsey received the SOM Prize for her research on collective forms of housing and is the author of a forthcoming book on mass timber.
